Situate only 5 minutes drive inland from Alfaz del Pi, you will find many holiday villas and a vast residential area offering good schools and well renowned for its impressive sports centre and facilities, you can enjoy a full gym, swimming pool indoor and outdoor, tennis and football lessons for all ages. On Sundays, the town is famous all around this region for organising a huge second-hand market in Porvilla Avenue, one of its main streets. La Nucia is in a picturesque valley filled with orchards and pinewoods, sheltered and surrounded by the mountains of the Sierra of Aitana.
The great advantage of La Nucia is its close proximity to other local towns as it boards with Altea, Callosa d'En Sarrià, Benidorm, Polop and L'Alfàs del Pi and these are all within a few minutes drive or use the local transport.
If you are looking for a picnic spot there is a beautiful park called ‘La Favara’. Just a short walk from the village, you will find a play park, landscaped gardens, and also a waterfall where the locals collect drinkable spring water from and there is a bar set in a cave if you fancy a glass of wine and tapas!
